Roxy’s Gourmet Grilled Cheese
There is a whole food truck craze in the country and Boston is one of the last cities to jump on the band wagon. So I have decided to check out a few in the Boston area. And which one have I choosen to try? Well I have choosen Roxy’s Gourmet Grilled Cheese!!! Why because I LOVE GRILLED Cheese and they add bacon to it!!! Also because these guys at Roxy’s Gourmet Grilled Cheese food truck are about to get famous and well once they do, there are gonna be some LONG LINES and I don’t like lines…
Why are they gonna be soo famous? Well Roxy’s Gourmet Grilled Cheese will be on the 2nd Season of The Food Networks “The Great Food Truck Race ” hosted by celebrety chef, Tyler Florence, that is premiering on Sunday, August 14, 2011 at 10:00PM on The Food Network, so tune in!!! Check out their video below!!!
They will also be on “Good Morning America” on ABC live in Times Square on Wednesday, August 10, 2011 to promote The Great Food Truck Race 2.
These boys know how to do grilled cheese and they know how to do it right, so right that I would Marry Roxy’s!!! These boys are a little tricky to find, well simply because it’s a food truck. But can usually be found in Clevelend Circle, SOWA Open Market and starting on Friday they will be in front of the Boston Public Library for lunch hours. I think they are normally @ Cleveland Circle from 5pm, Monday – Fridays. I recommend following them on twitter or Facebook to know where they are before you try to get one of delisous grilled cheeses.
I’ve heard soo much about these boys @ Roxy’s and I finally got to sink my teeth into their specialty “Green Muenster” Grilled cheese with muenster cheese, quacamole and BACON!!! yes bacon!!! After my first bite I was ready to ask Roxy to marry me, yes it was that good!!! Perfectly crispy on the outside and warm and gooey on the inside with melted muenster cheese, quacamole and loads on crisp BACON!!! Sorry Woodward @ Ames Hotel, Roxy’s now has my heart as my favorite grilled cheese…
These boys don’t just do grilled cheese they also have some yummy Truffle Fries!!! They handcut the fries themselves, deep fry them, toss them in truffle oil and sprinkle some salt and rosemary on them!!!
So if you have not had your chance to try one of Roxy’s Gourmet Grilled Cheeses yet, you better to so soon because they make your food made to order and will usually have to wait about 5-10 minutes from the time you order your food and get it. And I’m sure there are gonna be additional lines just to order once the word of Roxy’s Gourmet Grilled Cheese spreads.
To James DiSabatino, owner of Roxy’s, I do not know how to managed to pack so much goodness into that truck, but I love you for it and I can not wait to get my hands on another Green Muenster!!!
